You know people like this, even if it isn’t part of your own experience. They pick up the heavy, emotional energy from the people around them; they feel it to their core.  

In extreme cases, there is a sense of energetic incoherence. They look like a deer in the headlights and feel overwhelmed and helpless. Such people tend to need a lot of time to themselves to stabilize after being with others. The onslaught is more extreme than if the person is an empath.

Here was a client who was a physical therapist and had to stop her successful business because she brought home her client’s energy and it made her feel lethargic and depressed. Presenting with those symptoms suggested a rip or tear in her energy fields, and I put it on my list to investigate.

Energy Fields, Auric Fields, Energy Bodies

Energy fields – auric fields – are layers of energy that surround the physical body, and identified by energy field pioneer Barbara Brennan as a “bodies,” and they relate the chakras. These include the etheric body, the emotional body, the astral body, the auric body, etc.

With a rip or tear in the energy field(s), others heavy energy seeps into theirs and infuses with their own.

Their own source energy seeps out, leaving them depleted.

The result is incoherence in their entire energy system as there is so much interference with its flow, both in its trying to integrate the energy of others as well as being weakened by the lack of their own.

In this case, the person with a rip in their field had very close physical contact with her clients and as is usual, the clients had emotional baggage of varying degrees of severity. Their energy would seep in through the rip. It would take my client hours after work to come back to feeling “normal.” Eventually she couldn’t clear out enough before the next day and she was overwhelmed and had to stop the practice.

Her third chakra was energetically “blown up” and all the layers of fields were missing there! No wonder she had to leave her career! Blown up from a trauma.

Re-Weaving the Energetic Rip or Tear

I turn the healing of this over to Source and the client’s soul, and the beautiful filaments of light that only come from that realm, to weave together the rip or tear. I combine this with a technique to pull out energy that doesn’t belong to the client, and ask the pulling out and repairing to work in tandem so that enough is pulled out before the rip is fully sealed. The healing takes between four and 12 hours, depending on how big a rip. I suggest a client rest as much as they can during this time.

How does a rip happen? Usually it comes from trauma. One client had a rip from head to toe after her mother was killed in a car accident. The shock blew her field wide open. One had a rip from toe to shoulder after serious sexual abuse as a child.

In a way, mending a rip is such a simple healing for a very disabling challenge. People who have had a big rip mended report radical change for the better. They can tune into themselves, have renewed energy, and they feel they finally can guide their own way.
